This hands-on, self-motivated team player will assume responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering, Production Technicians, and the Prototype Shop. Duties include the design, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, standards, tooling and equipment designs for both manual and automation machines to improve and optimize operating efficiencies and performances. The successful candidate will reduce waste and delays and achieve the most economic manufacturing methods and provide technical support for multiple facility operations. The individual must be capable of handling a broad range of engineering activities to support the daily and long term plans of operations and be responsible for Operations' capital projects justification and project management.
Specifically, the Manufacturing Engineer Manager will:
•Manage, prioritize and provide guidance to manufacturing engineers in their work assignments and projects,
•Manage, prioritize and provide technical and supervisory guidance to manufacturing technicians in contact assembly area and work in close coordination with Operations management to maximize production output.
•Manage, schedule, prioritize and provide guidance to machine shop personnel regarding prototyping of new products.
•Analyze, implement and troubleshoot automation equipment where appropriate.
•Develop milestones and administer project management for capital projects as required.
•Participate and be an active member of the MRB system.
•Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and practices.
•Travel domestically and internationally.
Requirements
•B.S. degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
•Five years' experience with engineering management.
•Working knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controls) and automation equipment, a
plus.
•Working knowledge of CAD with strong technical and design skills.
•Good written/verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation and multitasking skills. |
