Pentair’s Filtration Solutions GBU is a leading component and equipment provider in the global marketplace for treating air, gas, water and other fluids and water and fluid filtration and separation. Evaluate, develop and improve manufacturing methods. Utilizes project management skills to implement new operational processes and equipment. Assists the business unit in meeting its strategic goals. Participates and supports kaizen events, Lean work cell design, standard product design revisions, cost improvement projects, capital expenditure projects and supply chain initiatives.
Required Skills:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Focused on machine up-time and equipment modification and optimization.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Develops complete project plans including resources, costs, benefits and schedules. Assumes full responsibility for all aspects of projects to ensure goals are met on time. Communicates project status to stakeholders as appropriate and follows up to ensure project results are sustained.
Confers with vendors to determine and arrange for purchase of equipment according with product specifications. Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Evaluates capital equipment investments and prepare cost justifications. Prepares concept drawings of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment. Manages overall implementation of capital equipment projects.
Prepares and maintains manufacturing documentation (Routers, BOMS’s, and MI’s) for new and existing equipment in manufacturing.
Prepares documentation using tools including Excel, JD Edwards MRP system, CAD packages (SolidWorks), Word, and digital photography.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Understands and applies the necessary programming skills related to various types of equipment.
Participate and support kaizen activities using lean tools, encouraging cross-functional groups to participate and meet common goals.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Stays informed on current technologies and lean concepts through continuing education and benchmarking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) or equivalent.
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (light manufacturing and assembly is ideal.)
PLC programming experience is a plus .
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and JDE .
CAD packages (SolidWorks) is desired.
Experience in machine design and machine building.
Solid experience and knowledge in machine control.
Project management experience.
