Summit Polymers is an automotive supplier of injection molded interior trim, which specializes in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of feature based registers, consoles and trim panels. We currently have a great opportunity to join our manufacturing team as a Process Engineer.
This is an injection molding process engineering position and requires both engineering and problem solving skills that come with education and experience. Looking for the right combination of hands-on knowledge of injection molding, launch and plant floor management in an automotive supplier environment. This is a highly technical position that requires extensive injection mold tooling experience including design, construction, processing and troubleshooting. This person will provide input to diagnose, analyze, and recommend solutions for tooling concerns both during the product development cycle and production. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required to work closely with internal and external customers to resolve manufacturability issues. The ability to lead cost reduction activity through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, computer literacy, good organizational skills and PPAP are a big plus.
