Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Starting, running and upgrading manufacturing processes as well as installing and monitoring control systems all of which must be done with employee health and safety and environmental protection in mind;

Assessing processes for their relevance, and assessing the adequacy of engineering equipment;

Designing, installing and commissioning new production processes and tooling, monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes;

Selecting, managing and working with sub-contractors;

Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet customer needs;

Making observations and taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from the other technical and operating staff involved;

Managing the cost and time constraints of projects;

Calculating product sale prices and controlling engineering drawings;

Preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts;

BS degree in mechanical, metallurgical, industrial engineering (or equivilent) plus 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Product design experience in CAD highly desireable.
