| Job Description | Starting, running and upgrading manufacturing processes as well as installing and monitoring control systems all of which must be done with employee health and safety and environmental protection in mind;
Assessing processes for their relevance, and assessing the adequacy of engineering equipment;
Designing, installing and commissioning new production processes and tooling, monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes;
Selecting, managing and working with sub-contractors;
Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet customer needs;
Making observations and taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from the other technical and operating staff involved;
Managing the cost and time constraints of projects;
Calculating product sale prices and controlling engineering drawings;
Preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts;
BS degree in mechanical, metallurgical, industrial engineering (or equivilent) plus 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Product design experience in CAD highly desireable. |
