We are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to analyze, design and improve the processes and practices used throughout the organization, oversee continuous improvement projects to make the organization more efficient, reduce costs, and to increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive improvements in quality, productivity and cost in the manufacturing processes

Identify root cause and implement countermeasure to prevent reoccurrence

Establish and manage action plans to communicate schedule and impact of improvement activities

Advise Engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs; coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacity are developed to support products.

Ensure manufacturability, quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards requirements are achieved by reviewing and evaluating product designs.

Prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates, bills of material, routes, travelers and revisions to engineering drawings and related specifications.

Prepare proposals, personnel and cost estimates, and work schedules to meet production release dates; report on product status, design, components, materials, etc.

Plan and coordinate pilot and first production run schedules; establish standard manufacturing times.

Develop and implement new programs for manufacturing cost reduction and product improvements.

Provide technical input and design changes to maintain work-in-process schedules.

Determine feasibility for and value of alternate design features, components, parts and materials and other pertinent factors; perform all analyses and prepare reports.

Assume overall project responsibility for specific design or related assignments assuring project remains on schedule and within budget.

Recommend and cost justify new equipment or equipment refurbishment as needed.

Maintain the CAD files related to the building including the office and factory layouts.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum four-year undergraduate degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

3+ years related experience

Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional computer skills with multiple software applications, including Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP, CAD.

Strong project management and analytical skills with demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement projects.

Certified Weld Engineer or significant expertise in welding practices preferred.
