We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Beaverton, Oregon facility. The Manufacturing Engineer's role is to support our in-house Manufacturing operations and New Product Introduction teams.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
Take a leadership role in continuously improving existing manufacturing processes to improve quality and efficiency.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to obtain information and gain acceptance of ideas and solutions.
Technical problem solving using good engineering judgment, technical materials, process and product knowledge.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills. Will be required to write complex process protocols and process validation reports for internal and customer review.
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, Line balancing, poka yoke) and methods.
Experience using statistical methods in DOE, window studies, PFMEA, process validation (IG/OQ/PQ).
Will work directly with New Product Introduction teams to provide product/process manufacturability input and lead manufacturing efforts during prototype builds/evaluation.
Develop new product PFMEA, lead DFX scoring, Process Control Plans, assembly fixtures, build documents, and validate any special processes. Document all manufacturing processes and train manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition of products into manufacturing.
Performs other functions as required.
Minimum Education: BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience: 0-2 year's proven experience in understanding and application of Manufacturing Engineering. Working knowledge of computer managed manufacturing systems. |
