Job Description | The Manufacturing Engineer will provide leadership and work with other functions to help the plant meet goals in safety, quality, schedule performance, inventory, cost reduction and participate in a team environment.
The Manufacturing Engineer must also have the demonstrated ability to provide production support in plant objectives, including improving throughput, line balancing and engineering problems.
Duties:
Establish methods and standards for new/changed parts. Analyze, document and implement corrections for process failures. Provide production support in areas of safety, quality, throughput improvement, line balancing, engineering problems and cost reduction.
Manufacturing Engineer may develop justification for new capital equipment and manage the installation and startup of new equipment.
Provide leadership and work with other functions in helping the plant meet goals in safety, quality, ISO standards, schedule performance, inventory and cost.
Provide support and participate in new product launch teams. Initiate and implement cost reduction ideas.
Investigate safety, quality or process failures and implement corrective actions. Initiate improvements to line balancing, throughput and engineering problems.
Provide proper tooling selections for new processes.
Requirements
· BS Industrial Engineering, BS Manufacturing Engineering or related degree.
· 2+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Lean Manufacturing
· Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques CAD/CAM · Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Assets
Working knowledge of Pro-E or AutoCad
Strong computer, networking, or CNC skills
Prior team lead or supervisory experience
Previous experience in Ag, Construction or other large industrial equipment
