Hexagon Metrology, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of high-technology dimensional measuring equipment and software, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. We’re a business-to-business marketer that sells high-value capital equipment to nearly every manufacturing industry from medical to shipbuilding.
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer has responsibility for all calibration room operations, manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure high quality product. This hands-on role requires an individual with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to articulate ideas and concepts, skills to positively influence, and the ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team. In a supervisory role, he/she will train, set performance goals, organize and assign work, while maintaining a productive and motivated climate for calibration room personnel. The Manufacturing Engineer will have a directing role in daily production to ensure the calibration lab’s output is in line with production goals, and may work as a calibration specialist, if needed.
Successful team players will possess:
BS in Manufacturing or other Engineering related discipline
4-5 years related experience
Knowledge of controller setups, error mapping and verification procedures
Experience with CAD
Demonstrated leadership skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency with all MS Office Products
CMM calibration experience, a plus
ERP LX experience, a plus
