Job Description
Position Summary

Maintain daily line performance, lead all process changes, corrections and improvements.

Maintain work instructions, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis and rep line develop and implement projects and continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality and process performance according to the customer's specifications within allocated budgets.

Develop manufacturing strategies and manufacturing Request For Quotations.

Deploy Process Development during product launch process as per Advanced Product Quality Planning. Specify, select, quote, purchase and validate process equipment. Install, program, and debug equipment.

Support the maintenance function in complex trouble shootings and repairs.

Transfer and relocate processes when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

Hands on production floor problem-solving skills, good understanding of tooling requirements (design and buy-off) for programs.

Specify methods to monitor process, measure key product characteristics, and collect data on process performance.

Work with project teams and provide leadership support for product team including execution of process validations and effective problem solving.

Provide floor support to trouble shoot process problems. Support maintenance in complex trouble shootings and repairs.

Develop, revise and document manufacturing processes to meet cost, quality, scrap, labor and safety goals.

Support Lean Manufacturing, Six, Sigma and 5S projects and initiatives.
Implement customer product reviews by providing prototypes, tooling and equipment.

Develop manufacturing strategies and Request For Quotes. Deploy Process Development during product launch process as per Advanced Product Quality Planning. Specify, select, quote, purchase and validate process equipment. Install, program, and debug process equipment.

ACADEMIC & PERSONAL QUALIFICATION
Education & Experience

Degree in Engineering.

At least 6 years work experience. Plus, at least 2 years previous hands on experience in working as a Manufacturing Engineer to assess manufacturing capacity, identify problems, perform root cause analysis and develop successful and practical solutions to manufacturing
problems.

Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, and experience in facilitating Lean Transformations

Program launch experience, including excellent knowledge of Advanced Product Quality
Planning, Production Part Approval Process Control Plans, methods/tools.

Understanding of cost justification as it relates to overall projects, scope including equipment, and purchases to improve productivity and overall process quality.

Proficient with hardware and software programming including utilizing Allen Bradley, RSlogix500, Labview and PanelBuilder32. Programming experience in C++ and Visual Basic, Required.

Specify, select, quote, purchase and validate process equipment. Install, program, and debug equipment.

Bilingual, Spanish - English preferred.
