Work is based out of Columbus, GA or Shelbyville, TN and able to support our Southern Campus (Columbus, GA - Shelbyville, TN – Iztapalapa, Mexico) under direction from the Corporate Manufacturing Engineering management
Willing to travel to support activities to plants - US&Overseas (Up to 30% of time)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and optimize industrial solutions
Prepare and support process document: Process flow, cycle time study, Statement of works, PFMEA, Control Plan, cell layout, process layout and instruction
Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation and production start-up.
Develop/support /build best practice with ME Team.
Support process improvement activities
Develop cost effective manufacturing solution and support with data
Generate weekly reports to direct manager
Support process trouble shooting of manufacturing problems
Perform all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to work as part of a team
Computer literate - Microsoft office
Experience with Manufacturing , maintenance and processes
Good technical skills in order to propose solutions
CNC programming and set up experience preferred
Previous Plant floor experience preferred
Good interpersonal skills - both written and verbal Must be analytical
CAD (Solidworks for 3D and Autocad/Drafsight 2D) needed - Training can be provided as needed

EXPERIENCE
Four-year Engineering degree and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
OR
Two-year Engineering degree with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
OR
10-15 years as technician with growth and development during previous experience
Working experience in CNC machining, high volume production, chassis component manufacturing is a preference and will be an asset
