Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities:

Lead Manufacturing Engineering efforts in defining manufacturing routing and work cell processing standards.

Provide support to all areas of the organization (Design, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning, and Quality) in production planning for new products.

Provide support during estimating process to assure highest fidelity and optimum manufacturing process.

Responsible for completing, risk assessments, PFMEA’s, process documentation, lean initiatives and process audits for new and existing parts.

Responsible for the Design and development of tooling, fixtures to support new part introduction.

Participate in manufacturability reviews in support of new product development. Participate in design reviews internally and externally with customers.

Ability to handle multiple task in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Lead problem solving and corrective action management relating to manufacturing processes, tooling and fixtures. Assure compliance with the company corrective action policy assuring implementation and sustainment at a system and part level.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Desired Skills & Experience
Knowledge and experience with CNC machining, programming, tool, fixture and manufacturing process development.
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering required: Bachelor degree preferred.

Knowledge of GD&T and application to machined parts.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plating, welding and heat treating.

Knowledge of work cell layout and work method and process design.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and practices.

Knowledge of statistical engineering tools for process optimization and problem solving.

Ability to develop and prepare process documentation, technical reports and presentations.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of the organization.

Ability to work independently while taking direction from and maintaining effective communication with supervisor.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of JobBoss, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
