Job Description
Dynomax, Inc., a fast-growing manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer! We are a leading precision machining, molding, components & spindle manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, energy, and medical industries since 1986.

Description of position:



Utilize experiences and talents to plan, design and implement manufacturing processes, including resource planning, project timelines and establishing priorities, to ensure customer requirements and quoted standards are met.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:



Create, update and maintains the item masters, BOM’s and routers, etc.

Reviews RFQs and helps determine feasibility of project, estimates labor and related costs and prepares formal quotes for submission.

Teams with customer to review designs for manufacturability. Understands functionality of the part and its feature specifications and verify GD&T was properly applied.

Develops manufacturing methods.

Performs initial sourcing and qualifies suppliers from a technical perspective and effectively communicates customer's requirements.

Fixture Design and Fixture Design Assistance

Documenting Fixture Designs (modeled assemblies and drawings)

Creating BOM’s for fixtures and raw materials

Create in-process drawings for manufacturing and quality

Create Statements of Work (SOW’s) for outside finishing processes

Have an understanding of processing order

Creating marked up drawings for processors

Assist in creating and review in-process/control plans

Develops and implement gage designs

Work on continuous improvement projects to decrease machine down-time and increase efficiencies

Participates in root cause analysis of customer/supplier rejections and internal failures.

Determines impact of ECNs and coordinates any changes.

Provides direction and training to other engineers and production associates.

Lean manufacturing principles.


Skills/Experience Required:



SolidWorks experience is required. Catia V5 R19 is a plus.

Ability to learn new software

Understanding of machining concepts (CNC mills, lathes, mill-turns)

Solid background in Project Management.

Experience with estimating, methodizing and supplier sourcing.

Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles

Must be able to communicate effectively

MasterCAM, Unigraphics, and Vericut experience/understanding is desired.

Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and FDA requirements, preferred.


Previous amount of work experience required:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing or Aerospace preferred).
Minimum of 5years experience in a precision machining environment preferred.


Minimal education level required: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering /Aerospace Engineering or, 10 -15 years in machining environment.



Physical Requirements:

Ability to work behind a work desk for a 2-4 hour duration for a minimum of 4 hours a day

Ability to walk for a 1hour duration, 2 hours a day

Ability to stand on your feet for a 1hour duration, 2 hours a day

Ability to perform a repetitive motion with 1 hand for a 1-2 hour duration, 4 hours a day

Ability to perform fine manipulation with one hand for a 1-2 hour duration, 2-4 hours a day

Ability to reach above and below shoulder height

Ability to lift 25lbs
