Job Description



We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Medical Device manufacturing division who will be responsible for the successful outcome of the development and implementation of the complete part-specific process.



As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will utilize your experience and talents to plan, design and implement manufacturing processes, including resource planning, project timelines and establishing priorities, to ensure customer requirements and quoted standards are met.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates, updates and maintains the item masters, BOM and routers, etc.

Reviews RFQs and helps determine feasibility of project, estimates labor and related costs and prepares formal quotes for submission.

Teams with customer to review designs for manufacturability. Understands functinality of the part and its features, adds specifcations and verifies GD&T was properly applied.

Develops manufacturing methods.

Performs initial sourcing and qualifies suppliers from a technical perspective and effectively communicates customer's requirements.

Develops and implements complete quality plans including CMM programming, gage design and procurement and inspection plans.

Performs validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) if required.

Participates in root cause analysis of customer/supplier rejections and internal failures.






Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineer (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).

Minimum of 2 years experience in a precision machining environment preferred.

CAD (ProE or SolidWorks) hands-on experience required.

CAM (Mastercam) experience desired.

Understanding of machining concepts (CNC mills, lathes, mill-turns)

Solid background in Project Management.

Experience with estimating, methodizing and supplier sourcing.

Experience with ISO (9001 and 13485) and FDA requirements, preferred.

Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles
