DuPont is hiring an Process Engineer at the Dayton OH Plant to assist with day to day manufacturing technical support to operations. The Engineer will work in a collaborative team environment and be responsible supporting high hazardous operations involving multiple reactors, centrifuges and rotary dryers. This highly hazardous operation utilizes flammable solvents in making high purity products that are used in the semiconductor industry. The Engineer will lead investigations and implement root cause corrective actions for safety, quality and equipment reliability. This Engineer will also be responsible for insuring the operation is running per standard operating conditions and within defined process technology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Process upgrades including safety, quality and capacity improvements.
Provide manufacturing technology support for the manufacture of performance enabling polymers for use in advanced patterning and semiconductor fabrication.
Process is a highly hazardous operation with multi-use reactors, centrifuges and dryers.
Leading and or participating in multiple Initiatives/improvement activities at the same time.
Drive quality, process and PSM improvements.
Lead Process Hazards Analysis.
This individual will work in a team environment of ~ 90 people and must process good collaboration skills.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
BS in Chemical Engineering
More than 2 years experience working in the chemical industry or in a manufacturing environment.
Previous highly hazardous materials experience including flammable operations
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Working knowledge of Process Safety Manangement (PSM)
Knowledge or experience with LEAN manufacturing.
Knowledge or experience with continuous improvement tools
Previous experience with batch manufacturing operations
Experience with organic chemistry or free radical polymerization manufacturing
Strong organization, internpersonal, analytical and communication skills
