Job Description | Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the development of specific marketing plans and activities for Maquet's Cardiopulmonary Product Line. Specifically, this role will establish, enhance and distinguish Maquet's product placement within the competitive arena. The role will also develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace, as well as oversee market research and all competitive activity. In addition, position will identify customer needs, establish pricing strategies, and interface with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and updates sales tools to promote the benefits of product line)and to ensure that clinical benefits are packaged in a way to be easily articulated to customers
Interacts with internal and external customers by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures
Monitors internal and external indicators by reviewing reports and newsletters, reading organizational literature, meeting with peers and reading departmental reports
Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending
Monitors sales trends and makes recommendations for deeper penetration of (product line) in the market
Prepares selling and product positioning materials to support sales force and maintains frequent communication with them, providing high-value insights
Acts as the in-house expert within the marketing organization for product line. Represents these areas in convention planning and attends conferences as appropriate
Stays current on key clinical literature and communicates important findings to the salesforce and to sales/marketing management
In conjunction with training managers, develops and delivers sales training materials to new hires and internal personnel
Acts as a key interface with demand planning and supply chain to manage supply/demand & forecasting needs
Monitors competitive moves as they relate to (product line) and develops a cohesive response that can be used to deter competitive threats
Cultivates key relationships and regularly obtains feedback from customers and field organization to gather information, identify needs, and assess opportunities to help drive marketing programs and input to product planning
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
No less than 3 years relevant Product or Brand Marketing experience in Medical Devices.
