At CoorsTek we change our world by providing industry with break-through solutions for an amazing variety of engineered parts and integrated systems made from ceramics, metals, and plastics. As a Ceramic Engineer at CoorsTek, you are responsible for designing machinery, developing processing techniques and conducting research related to the manufacture of ceramic products. This position will be located in Benton, AR.

Day to Day:
Tests physical, chemical, and heat-resisting properties of materials, such as clay and silica
Analyzes test results to optimize material capabilities
Researches methods of processing, forming, and firing of materials to develop new ceramic products
Designs equipment and apparatus for forming, firing, and handling products
Tests finished products for characteristics such as texture, color, durability, glazing, and refractory properties
Develops heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials for use in aerospace, automotive, defense, electronics, energy, and semiconductor fields

Education/Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic or Materials Science Engineering
Experience with vacuum furnacing strongly preferred
2 years professional work experience preferred
