| Job Description | Parkinson Technologies, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial winding, converting, melt filtration and plastic processing equipment has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. The individual will report to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for the design of large scale capital equipment.
Requirements:
•BSME or higher degree
•Experience drafting/designing industrial equipment is a must
•Proficient in the use of SolidWorks
•Ability to manage a number of capital projects from conceptualization to completion, including the design of mechanical and structural systems according to customer specification.
•Ability to learn new engineering design practices quickly while retaining information precisely
•Outstanding organizational ability, efficiency in job approach, diligence, and self-motivation
•Capacity to take full ownership of work, from wide-ranging customer interactions to the smallest design elements
•Responsible and accountable for handling technical, scheduling, and budgetary challenges
•Demonstrated continued professional development
Preferred:
•Experience with web-handling or converting equipment will be given priority
•PLC programming familiarity a plus
•Competency with pneumatic and hydraulic design
•Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
