| Job Description | Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, a worldwide leader in the contract design and manufacture of implants, instruments and innovative technologies for the orthopedic, dental and cardiovascular markets is seeking a Metal Finisher/Rough Casting for our Oregon Operations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks related to the finishing processes of the casting operation. Responsiblilites include but are not limited to: Perform Visual & Dimensional Inspection of castings; Confirm discrepancies; Rework discrepancies as allowed by tech card, route to salvage operations as necessary with required documentation; Identify and record as ""Scrap"" all castings that do not meet customer specifications after rework.
Requirements
Work performed in manufacturing environment where exposure to a number of elements occurs; Requires use of hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product; Frequent lifting of materials up to 35#; Infrequent lifting of materials between 35 and 50#; Requires repetitive grasping, fingering, manipulation of materials; Requires use of PPE; Visual acuity equal to Jaeger #2 at not less than 12 corrected or uncorrected in at least 1 eye.
Experience/Education
Qualifications:
Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to use adjustable measuring instruments. Blue Print reading. Ability to visually detect defects. HS Diploma or GED and 1 year related experience required. Must be eligible to work in the United States |
