| Job Description | CSN, LLC is the exclusive North American manufacturing operation of Companhia Siderurgica Nacional, a fully integrated steel company based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The North American operation, based in Terre Haute, Indiana, is a complete cold rolling and galvanizing facility that specializes in light gauge coiled sheet products.
CSN, LLC has an immediate need for a Metallurgical Engineer to monitor galvanizing line processes with regard to continuous improvement and assist the Operations Director with technical projects.
Responsbilities include monitoring the galvanizing process using quality reports, daily and weekly checklists, test data and operator input; researching causes and possible solutions for top quality defects; participating in continuous improvement process; assisting in the creation and modification of ISO procedures and documents; developing new products; and advising production management regarding issues related to the galvanizing line.
Requirements include BS degree in Metallurgy, Material Science or related field, 2 - 5 years of related experience, excellent organizational skills, good oral/written communication skills and a general working knowledge of statistical process controls. |
