Position Description
Position is responsible for providing direction and coordination of various metallurgical operations functions to include departmental release/shipping responsibilities, manpower support of Physical Test, shop floor reporting support/training and Syteline support/training. Position will direct department shipping efforts by synchronizing department activities with manufacturing activities focusing on due date compliance.
Requires knowledge of customer specifications, departmental procedures, controls and certification requirements. Requires knowledge of manufacturing, sales, production and shipping functions as they relate to customer requirements. Requires knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems, an understanding of production planning and control concepts. A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics Planning, or a related field with 2 or more years of experience is preferred. Prior planning/logistics customer experience or APICS certification is considered a plus. Must possess strong managerial skills, including human relations, planning, coordinating along with proficiency with computers to include Microsoft Office applications. |
