| Job Description | Bekaert Corp., Specialty Steel Wire group, offers Wire Forming industry a broad range of wire products individually engineered for specific applications. This is evident by the shaped wire produced at Bekaert's facility in Orrville, Ohio.
The Orrville, Ohio facility produces shaped wires; fine wire, and custom designed metal profiles and parts. Bekaert Orrville supplies more than 30 different industries, most of which form or fabricate shaped wire into their finished product. A listing of the industries served are; Agricultural, Appliance, Automotive, Fasteners, Springs, and Hand and Power Tools.
Your Role
Timely communication with customers and QA dept. on matters regarding to process development and quality.
Providing technical support and quality feedback to Production Management.
The individual must have working knowledge of ferrous metal heat treat process, floor and laboratory inspection methods and metallographic procedures.
Familiarity with automotive quality systems and requirements
Must be experienced in interpretation of microstructures and the application of microhardness testing. This is a key role in root cause analysis.
Your Profile
Proficiency in the use of busniess software such as Word, Excel, Access, etc. and technical report presentations
Close familiarity with Operating Systems, SAP, IQS, ISO.
Experience in supporting a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
BS degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy or similar, advanced degree.
Must have at least 3-5 years in manufacturing setting providing metallurgical analysis and support, perferably with ferrous metals. |
