Responsibilities:

Major activities include but are not limited to the following:

Coach site personnel in the use of Reliability Tools to select and make improvements to critical equipment

Assist site personnel in financial justification of reliability enhancement projects.

Assist sites in specification, inspections and performance testing as needed on new and/or rebuilt fixed equipment components

Assist and lead root cause failure analysis on metallurgy and corrosion failures, develop corrective action and tracks results

Monitor effectiveness of predictive/preventive maintenance programs at sites through
Global KPI's, and drive improvement corporate wide. Support collection of key data from sites as required.

Develop and implement Best Practices and maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability/efficiency and minimizes repair cost

Develop and promote new NDE technologies

Qualifications:

Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes and experience in Materials/Reliability
Engineering. Strong background in ASTM standards and ASME Code re materials and welding specifications for high alloy equipment.

Experience with preventative and predictive techniques to improve the fixed equipment and piping monitoring program

Strong computer skills especially with MS products, SAP

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities

Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the Global organization

Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision

Ability to work in a team based environment and open to travel to global plant sites.

Ability to lead teams toward a common goal

Minimum of 10 years of Experience in Materials Engineering

Minimum of BS in Engineer.

Desirable

Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement processes

Experience with reliability engineering principles and methodology, (RCA, RCM, Reliability Models, Crow-AMSAA, Weibull)

Knowledgeable and experience in Celanese work processes, policies and procedures
