| Job Description | Ajinomoto Althea is currently seeking a Metrology Technician. This position authors, executes and updates calibrations on various components, equipment and processes in a cGXP environment.
Responsibilities:
?Performs calibration on various instrumentation and controls throughout a cGXP environment
?Works with various departments to schedule routine and non-routine calibration work.
?Uses mathematics to solve process measurement related problems as well as to derive and interpret specifications for instrumentation/controls on various processes within the facility.
?Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality, performance and reliability.
?Determines the causes of out-of-spec measurement errors and presents solutions to resolve them.
?Works with various off-site vendors to ensure calibration requirements are met on equipment to maintain reliability on processes site-wide.
?Suggests improvements to existing methods and procedures.
Requirements:
? High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate?s degree preferred.
?PMEL or technical education is required.
?Mathematical aptitude and the ability to choose the correct mathematical methods or formulas to solve various problems.
?Ability to apply measurement science principled to specific problems to produce viable answers.
?Demonstrated ability to recognize when a measurement is wrong or likely to go wrong.
?Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or in a group setting.
?Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
