Description
Bend Research is seeking a Microbiologist to work at its current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) pharmaceutical research and development facility where staff prepares clinical supplies of novel drug formulations using enabling new technologies.
The Microbiologist will perform microbial analysis and is responsible for the environmental monitoring program in the cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Job tasks will include method development and validation, managing laboratory investigations and taking corrective and preventive actions, taking a lead role as troubleshooter and trainer, and will be the primary technical contact with clients.
Position Requirements
Candidates must have an advanced degree in microbiology, or a bachelor's degree and five-plus years of experience in microbiology or a related field.
Experience in an FDA-regulated microbiology laboratory is preferred.
Experience with pharmaceutical microbiology test procedures and knowledge of cGMPs, GLP, FDA guidelines, ICH guidelines, EU guidance, USP, EP and JP are a big plus.
