Amnor Energy is seeking full-time mill manager to assist in the day to day operations of a new mineral processing facility in development in the central Utah area
Duties
Provide technical leadership to the process plant team
Provide leadership to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards
Lead the metallurgy team to assure cost effective and high quality metal recovery, metallurgical performance and to optimize financial results
Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reporting procedures for production, metal recovery and operating costs
Develop and maintain metallurgical accounting and metallurgical reconciliation procedures
Manage and monitor the process plant water balance
Liaise with mining and geology departments to achieve optimum throughput and recovery
Oversee health, safety, environmental and operational teams with respect to environmental standards, safety procedures and health programs at the site
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters in Metallurgical Engineering
3-10 years of experience in mineral processing plant operation
Environmental planning and management experience
Proven maintenance planning and shutdown skills
A proven track record in process monitoring and control
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong computer, organizational and interpersonal skills, exceptional reporting and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent gravity circuit, flotation, and leaching experience
Cross functional team building and process management
Excellent decision making skills
Ability to use process optimization software and hardware
Results oriented
Conditions
Work is in a process plant environment which may include such hazards as: exposure to extremes in temperature, working around large heavy machinery (ie excavators, track loaders, etc), chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, working in an outside environment (loose rocks, uneven ground, etc.)
May be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 60lbs) during the course of the workday
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment, which may, in a mining/milling environment, include: hardhat, high visibility clothing, hearing protection, safety footwear, eye protection, gloves, etc.
Being able work for up to 5 days/week, or more, at the mine/mill site near Nephi, UT.
