Currently we have multiple openings due to growth for Mill Metallurgists at out Darlington, SC location.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: The role of Mill Metallurgist is to provide metallurgical support to both of our rolling mills to ensure that customer expectations are met.

This person will identify best practices and conduct trials in the rolling mill to improve the quality of our product and reduce costs.

This person will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the rolling mill quality control systems.

The job requires this person to work closely with mill operations and metallurgical personnel to identify and correct root causes of problems while advancing in our mission to achieve commercial excellence.

This person will be responsible for reviewing metallurgical concepts and specifications for new products.



Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Science.


PREFERENCES:

Strong experience in relevant steel product processing.

3-5 yrs. experience in the steel industry.

Experience in an SBQ bar or Rod Mill.
