Job Description | General Function:
The Molding Equipment Engineer is responsible for daily production support, managing new machines builds, managing machine upgrades and providing leadership to maintenance working in the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Coaches and enforces plant safety policy and safe work methods
2. Coaches and enforces the use of work orders for all work (Maximo)
3. Coaches and enforces the correct use the Supply Crib
4. Coaches and enforces correct use of the Engineering Change system
5. Coaches and enforces correct design / best practice for tooling / machines
6. Coaches and enforces correct standard drawing practices
7. Coaches and enforces correct documentation of projects
8. Reviews & Approves tool / machine designs for construction (standard components, lessons learned)
9. Responsible for support of New Launch related to equipment
10. Point of Contact for daily technical support for equipment
11. Responsible for support of Customer Reject issues related to equipment
12. Responsible for quoting support relating to equipment
13. Responsible for maintaining the project budget, timeline and materials
14. Responsible for maintenance personnel labor planning, skillset and quality of work
15. Follows all plant safety policies
16. Keeps work area clean and organized
Qualification Requirements:
1. Proficient in the use of computers
2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Lotus Notes
3. Proficient at typing
4. Proficient at the use of drawing software
5. Proficient at reading and editing blue prints
6. Proficient at the use of PLC for trouble shooting and programming
Education and/or Experience:
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or Equivalent Experience
3. Minimum of 5 years experience as Process / Manufacturing Engineer / Multi-Skill Maintenance
Reasoning Ability:
1. Ability to read and understand tool / machine drawings in order to order materials & components
2. Ability to read and understand tool / machine drawings in order to coach employees to build new tools / machines
3. Ability to read and understand tool / machine drawings in order to develop solution to failures (tool, product & equipment)

1. The Equipment Engineer must be able to perform job functions in parallel. (Multi-tasking)
2. The Equipment Engineer must be self supervised
3. The Equipment Engineer must have professional oral and written communication skills
4. The Equipment Engineer must have strong leadership skills
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing this job the employee will be:
1. Sitting at Computer, Standing, Walking, Bending, Lifting and using Stairs to perform job
2. Maximum lifting will be 30 pounds
