Ensures that quality products are designed, engineered and manufactured by Trinity. Develops and implements programs and processes to ensure that Trinity products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations for compliance with national/regional/global regulations. Manages Quality/Quality Assurance personnel and activities in support of business objectives.

Required Skills
GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for managing, maintaining, operation, and conduct analysis of Nondestructive examination (NDE), utilizing Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT); specifically Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) and Phased Array (PA). Work with personnel to assess programs and suggest improvements. Participate in, and Ensure performance and compliance with NDE specifications and AWS D1.1. Assess technology and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Manage and perform to NDE procedures for AUT.
Analyze AUT data under applicable criteria.
Manage and maintain quality NDE records in accordance with policy.
Work with customers on achieving compliance to NDE requirements.
Review customer NDE requirements as a part of the Contract Review function.
Assess training and competence of in-house and sub-contractor NDE personnel.
Assess NDE program and suggest improvements
Assess new NDE technology for quality and productivity improvements.
Train personnel on new technology.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: ASNT UT Lvl II certification, a minimum. Good knowledge of nondestructive (NDE) testing methods including ultrasonic testing (UT). Experience in large-scale fabrication operations. Good knowledge of detail and assembly drawings used in manufacturing processes. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records. Ability to function on a team and to work effectively with facility and division personnel. Understanding & working knowledge of AWS D1.1.
Required Experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years related experience as a
supervisor and/or individual contributor
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Experience in analysis of Nondestructive testing (NDE) utilizing Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT); specifically Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) and Phased Array (PA). Certified Level III in UT preferred, ASNT-Certified Level II in UT minimum. Good to considerable experience in manufacturing processes; or any combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Completion of a standard high school education supplemented by coursework in drafting, computer science, applied mathematics or industrial technology. Good knowledge of computers and computer applications. |
