Job Description | Optics Development
We are at the forefront of image quality for the camera work at Pelican Imaging. Poor image in ? poor image out, this is especially relevant in the exciting field of computational imaging. It is our priority to understand and quantify the impact of the lens quality on system performance. We ensure that all subsequent image processing steps, which are at the core of Pelican’s computational array camera, command and produce the best possible input image. We work closely with our partners to improve performance and yield, evaluate alternative optics technologies, and innovate.
Optical Systems Design Engineer (Optics01)
Pelican Imaging is building the next leapfrog technology in computational imaging - with the potential to change every camera in the world.
The Optical Systems Design Engineer will work on the design and development of Pelican Imaging’s next generation lens modules for our cutting edge array camera technology. You will collaborate with our team of expert imaging engineers to define and validate optics-related system and architecture aspects, translate into solid opto-mechanical specifications and/or reference designs, and ensure their manufacturability. You will be instrumental in guiding our external optics manufacturing and camera module integration partners, regarding manufacturing of Pelican Imaging Array Cameras.
