Intevac is seeking for an optical systems engineer to participate in the development of new digital camera systems employing intensified image sensors. We are looking for a team-oriented, self-driven individual with a keen technical mind and an eye for detail. Intevac Photonics Division is comprised of engineers who have a detailed understanding of hardware engineering and systems with embedded software. We operate in a fast-paced, highly technical R&D environment. You will be expected to explore new technologies and product concepts, create new products, enhance our current product lines, and stay abreast of new technologies and techniques.
Primary Responsibilities
Define optical systems requirements and specifications
Design and implement new lens designs for objectives and eyepieces for the next generation night vision systems
Develop imaging systems validation tests
Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to debug systems and evaluate performance
Essential Skills And Experience
Understanding of optical principles
Expertise in Zemax or Code V lens design software
Imaging systems expertise, specifically with cameras, displays or electro optical systems
Understanding of performance testing and validation of optical systems and components
Minimum Requirements
BS in Optics, Physics or equivalent field
Experience with imaging systems
US citizens or permanent residents only |
