Description: The Opto-Mechanical Engineer will design and develop lasers and precision opto-mechanical components used in laser systems. This is a hands-on role designing small precision mechanical components used within an optics system.
Duties: • Design and development of lasers and components for laser systems
• From concept to final product
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs
Qualifications: • Minimum BSME required
• 5+ years experience in the field or related field (medical opto-mech devices and systems, laser processing heads, laser scanning systems, fiber components, photonics components and devices, precision mechanical, military mech & optical systems, microscope displays, visual and display systems)
• SolidWorks design experience
• Experience designing laser and opto-mechanical systems and components, lenses, fibers, and crystals, a plus
• Proficient design and development organizational skills |
