MAVERICK Technologies is looking for a highly skilled PLC Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The Engineer will lead team efforts in the application of engineering services in the area of electrical, instrumentation, control and data acquisition systems to meet client project requirements.
Must have's:
•Lead Engineer with strong PLC programming and HMI Configuration experience.
•4+ years of work experience installing, maintaining and configuring PLC and HMI systems
•BS in Engineering (EE or Chem E) or 8+ years experience as an industrial automation controls specialist

Functional Knowledge and Experience:
•Strong background with Allen Bradley Family of PLC’s and Rockwell Software.
•Strong background with Wonderware systems.
DCS experience (Honeywell, DeltaV, Yokogawa, Foxboro) is a plus.
•Proficient in standard office workstation tools: Microsoft® Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint®, Microsoft® Outlook, Microsoft® Project)
•Background with one more of the following of the following HMI systems; Wonderware, RSView, or Panelbuilder32
•Candidates with instrument and electrical (I&E) or Process Control applications experience are preferred.
•Candidates with working knowledge of chemical manufacturing facilities are preferred.
•Candidates with applications and programming experience on any of the following a plus; GE PLC, Siemens TI, Siemens PLC, and Modicon.
· Analytical/Interpersonal Skills:
•Excellent customer presentation skills.
•Ability to succeed in a team environment.
•Ability to apply basic theory to practical engineering applications and/or to provide technical guidance as needed.
•Ability to set individual priorities.
•Exposure to general industrial and office environments.
•Available to travel to different business locations.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
•BS Engineering (EE, ChE) or other 4 year technical degree AND 4+ years experience in an engineering environment or 8+ years industrial automation controls experience.
•4+ years of work experience installing, maintaining and configuring PLC and HMI systems. |
