Description:
With guidance from the supervisor, the candidate must perform experiments and assays independently, with precision, and a technical proficiency. This incumbent will participate in planning, scheduling and executing required tasks and activities across multiple projects simultaneously. Development activities include, but not limited to, tissue processing, cell isolation, cell enrichment, and manipulation of cells, cell and tissue culture, assay development to characterize cell populations and products, and assay development to assess activity and/or potency for cell products. This incumbent will present results and updates at project team meetings and write project reports. Must be able to develop draft SOPs, work instructions and other documents for GMP production. Experience in molecular biology, protein expression and working with lead candidate products and advancing projects into clinical trials is a plus.
Experience Required:
The position requires a MS/MA in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or related area plus 1 year experience in applied laboratory research in a biological science OR a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or related area in the development and manufacture of cell-based therapeutics, cell culture-based biopharmaceuticals, and/or applied laboratory research in a biological science. |
