| Job Description | Position Summary
Responsible for manufacturing process improvement. Plan, organize, lead and perform activities to define the production process to be used and to support process changes designed to improve safety, quality, and manufacturing efficiency throughout the manufacturing area. Utilization of lean manufacturing techniques and 80/20 is required.
Responsibilities & Duties
Lead process improvement initiatives including process experimentation, process design, process optimization, process control, and process definition and documentation to reduce waste to achieve continuous improvement and ultimately lead to quantum leap cost reductions.
Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, reduce cycle times, improve productivity, create and find capacity, improve process reliability, and improve customer satisfaction with respect to on time delivery, yields, and quality. Develop, maintain, and deploy standard work for all processes. Work with Quality and Production Supervision to help assure operator training and proficiency.
Manage and execute process engineering change, and review process to include control over process parameters, process methods, tooling, etc.
Develop expert level competency in core process technologies and maintain knowledge of equipment and manufacturing technology changes. Constantly search for and evaluate potential breakthrough technology.
Participate on leadership team of the facility and actively support their decisions.
Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in engineering. BSME preferred. A minimum of five years manufacturing experience is required. Must show leadership skills. Have personnel evaluation skills. Must be computer literate and able to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Microsoft Project, and Auto Cad proficiently. Must be self-motivated, have a high sense of urgency, be able to problem solve complex situations, be resourceful. |
