Job Description

Confluence Watersports, a leader in the kayak industry located in a great area of South Carolina (two hours northwest of Colubmia) is looking for a Product Manager to handle Accessories.

This position has several facets of responsibility:

Strategic Planning

• Creation and maintenance of a 3 year product plan

• SKU rationalization and price rationalization

New Product Development

• Collects voice of the customer information that will drive the creation of a product scope

• Creates and updates product briefs that explain: an overview of the project, competitive landscape, customer feedback, desired product scope, target P&L, estimated volumes, upfront costs, and preliminary schedules

Product Maintenance

• Continuously monitors the performance of net sales & standard margin and identifies opportunities for improvement or accuracy
Sales & Marketing Support

• Provide content for, review, and approve all assigned marketing content for accessories – packaging, price guides, catalogues, website, sell sheets, PR, and product knowledge training presentations

• Leads product knowledge seminars for the sales team, customer service, and marketing team.


To be the Confluence Watersports Accessories Product Manager you need:

• 3-5 years consumer products product management experience REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, etc.

• Experience with sourced product preferred.

• Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously; effective time management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Project Management a plus.
