Photolithography Process Development Engineer

General Summary

This exciting position will develop and implement advanced photolithography processes for state-of-the-art thin film heads. This is an opportunity to join a small but very productive group that is involved in very challenging and rewarding work.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Develop advanced photolithography processes for thin film heads.

Setup and monitor metrology recipes for prototype wafers.

Improve overall photo manufacturing process for prototype wafers.

Interact with process engineering team to solve wafer problems and improve quality.

Interface with manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, operations and others to convey engineering issues.


Job Specification and Requirements*

An MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science and at least 3 years of related photolithography experience in either the semiconductor or thin film head industry -OR- a PhD with highly related coursework/research.

Solid knowledge of photolithography, wafer processing and the principles of SPC.

The ability to use creative and analytical thinking in process development.

The ability to make process and tooling decisions for future products.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Work Schedule, Conditions and Physical Requirements ***

Work schedule is from Monday to Friday. Regular work schedule may periodically be adjusted to meet company needs. Majority of the time for this position will require the individual to work in a class 100 ESD sensitive environment with standard photo modified lighting on the manufacturing floor.
