Responsible for preparation of financial statements, standard costs as well as supervision of the Plant’s Accounting Department. Efforts are to be directed toward the achievement of profit and balanced growth as determined by approved plans and objectives of the individual and the company.

Participate in, oversee, and audit the primary functions of the finance area, which includes month end closings, year-end audits, preparation of the business plan, and financial reporting.

Provide Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and analysis.

Provide general ledger statement administration for location, ensuring common factors are applied uniformly.

Prepare and oversee audit for location.

Provide tax administration

Monitor payroll, sales and use taxes, to compliance standards.

Perform tax planning and preparing for tax audits

Manage Credit

Work with corporate credit department to help with collection of accounts receivable, resolving problems and monitor aging records.

Provide notes on receivable administration.

Manage Assets

Monitor and recommend inventory control to ensure proper level of inventory items.

Monitor fixed assets control including reports on assets.

Perform and review capital budgeting providing ROA to management.

Provide Cash Management

Ensure all payables and receivables are accurately and correctly entered and accounted.

Manage Petty Cash

GMPT meetings

Facilitate monthly meeting to address Gross Margins for assigned products

Maintain notes and assure follow-up.

Oversee the Accounts Payable function. Review invoices for payment prior to submission to corporate payable department for processing.

Involvement in special projects as assigned. This will include reviewing situations, devising project plan, implementing as well as insuring appropriate training.

Supervision of department staff.

Oversee Company Outlet Store

All other duties assigned by Manager.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.

3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting environment.

Computer literate – Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Lean training and experience desirable

Flexibility in hours to meet deadlines
