The Controller is responsible for directing the financial affairs of Menasha PrePrint and prepares financial analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Controller is responsible for financial plans and policies, accounting practices, the conduct of relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Governance:

Compliance with company financial policies and procedures

Review and implementation of adequate internal controls and segregation of duties for location(s)

Accountability for financial system maintenance, oversight and improvements

Local primary contact for internal and external financial auditors

Financial analysis:

Monthly results

Capital investments (EA justification, performance tracking and post audit)

Customer profitability

Product profitability

New product introduction

Cost centers

Budgets and forecasts

All multi-year sales contracts and other agreements over $100,000

Cost accounting / inventory:

Job costing

Develop and maintain job cost and estimating system

Inventory valuations / LCM calculations / physical inventories

Monthly review of cost center reports, identifying variances for improvement opportunities

People & Team- Management and development of location finance and accounting staff (if applicable)

Active participant on local management team and MPC Finance Team

Educator / trainer to the organization on financial statements and metrics

Commitment to continued growth and development

Miscellaneous responsibilities:

Monthly financial close

Local responsibility for income tax, property tax, and sale and use tax

Preparation of forecasts and annual budget

Financial related government reporting

Actively participate in Lean initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance. CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred.

5+ years related experience (manufacturing experience required).

Knowledge of GAAP.

Superior analytical and problem solving skills.

Exceptional computer skills and understanding of ERP system.

Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
