We are currently recruiting for a Plant Engineer at Agrium's Conda Phosphate Operations. Agrium Conda Phosphate Operations (CPO), located near Soda Springs, lies nestled among the beautiful mountains of southeastern Idaho and offers great hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and golf. Agrium CPO employs approximately 270 employees.

This position will report directly to the Technical Services Manager. Specific responsibilities will include:

Primary responsibility will be a combination of project management, plant engineering, and process support.
Plan, oversee, and coordinate activities around development, design, cost estimating, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Contractor oversight.
Establishes standards and policies for install, modification, testing, operating procedure, quality control, inspection, and maintenance.
Support equipment and process reliability.


Qualifications of the position include:

possess a B.S. Degree in Engineering or applicable Bachelors of Science Degree, with a minimum of three years experience (5 yrs a plus)
have leadership potential
be a self-starter, able to work with little direct oversight
work well in a fast-paced team environment
have excellent communication and reporting skills
possess problem solving, trouble-shooting, and diagnostic skills
excellent computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
SAP experience is a plus


The following additional qualifications would be a plus:

experience with economic analysis and justifications
corrosion and materials selection experience
petro-chem experience
supervisory skills and experience
experience working in a plant environment
