Rexam's Finance Manager is responsible for developing and managing the financial department, including plant budget, local cost accounting, capital project justification, inventory control, etc. Position reports to Plant Manager.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for accuracy of SAP reported information: Finished Goods Inventory in plant warehouse, Finished Goods Inventory at outside warehouses.
HFI (hold for inspection) inventory, EOR (end of run) inventory, aluminum coil usage and inventory, scrap usage and inventory, dunnage returns/transfers
Achieves accurate reporting of above inventories using methods including: Reconciling periodic cycle counts of plant inventory to SAP, coordinating or taking annual physical counts of inventory in plant and outside warehouses, researching differences in inventories and advises management of causes.
Training of plant personnel on SAP inventory transactions. Submits inventory adjustments and RIDS (requests for inventory disposal) for management approval.
Verifies daily production, HFI and spoilage reporting.
Posts approved mill claims monthly.
Prepares monthly Metal True-Ups"" and Metal Analysis Spread-sheet to determine metal usage and spoilage entries.
Reconciles daily manning report to Kronos and prepares various analyses of lost time and vacation usage.
Sends completed payroll file to Exec by 10am each Monday. Oversees payroll processing performed by administrative assistant.
Maintains accurate records of hourly employee vacation payments and accrual balances.
Processes Factory Fund checks for emergency payroll payments.
Acts as Petty Cash cashier and pays out approved Petty Cash purchases. Submits inventory adjustments and RIDS (requests for inventory disposal) for management approval.

Requirements
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.
3-5 years accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written, leadership, Excel skills, SAP knowledge.
Strong Excel skills, plus SAP aptitude/expertise with financial and BPE modules preferred or other ERP financial system experience.
Strong organizational skills working in a fast-pace environment.
Effective professional communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information. |
