| Job Description | Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience with Single Point Diamond Turning and the 5-Axis milling techniques. Responsibilities will include component design, machine programming, fabrication, assembly, and precision metrology of manufactured components.
Qualifications:
Minimum required skills, knowledge, and abilities:
AA degree with 5+ years experience
CAD/CAM– SolidWorks CREO/MasterCAM, CAMworks preferred
CNC machining – setting up machines, writing g-codes
Single Point Diamond turning
Characterization skills – knowledge of precision manufacturing characterization methods (e.g. optical coordinate measuring machine, measuring microscope, laser confocal microscope, interferometer, etc.).
Project management experience
Excellent communication skills – candidate must interface with customers and colleagues
Ability to work independently to manufacture and characterize parts on time
Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers about project status and challenges.
Additional desired skills, knowledge, and abilities:
BS in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
5-Axis ultra precision CNC machining experience or the ability/desire to learn
Experience with precision assembly methods and techniques
