Job Description
Position Summary:
Member of the Technical Operations team with primary responsibilities for the development, deployment and on-going technical management of strategies/tactics to support the contract manufacturing and test of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). The person must be able to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects. A successful candidate must possess a deep knowledge of PCB assembly manufacturing and in-circuit test (ICT), and a fundamental understanding of DFx, Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing and statistical process control (SPC).

Position Details:
?Provide technical leadership in the transitioning of PCB designs to contract manufacturers; monitors designs for compliance to design rules, standards and procedures in order to provide consistency in designs and manufacturing process
?Conduct DfM and DfT design reviews for new products; communicate the impact on PCBA design and cost
?Development and improvement of processes and requirements related to PCB assembly and test
?Define and implement product testing methods (ICT, functional) for in-house use and/or at suppliers
?Anticipate the need for and develop documentation of measurement systems for PCBs to support their assembly; this documentation provides standard construction instructions to ensure consistency and efficient product manufacturing
?Analyze and resolve product quality problems and solve complex manufacturing problems, applying knowledge of PCB production and test methods and quality improvement techniques
?Engage in, and often lead failure analysis and RC/CA activities for customer escalations, internal and supplier yield issues
?Manage multiple small projects at a time or complex components of larger projects; communicate project status information to upper management in a clear, concise and timely manner

Requirements:
?BS or MS (preferred) in electrical engineering with strong technical background in PCB assembly manufacturing and test
?15+ years Product Engineering /Technology experience in PCB manufacturing industry
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills
?Proven teamwork and leadership skills; able to work across boundaries with multiple functions, program teams, suppliers, and customers
?Excellent project management skills; PMP certification a plus
?Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; root cause analysis, statistical methods
?Familiarity with IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 requirements
?Computer literate in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
?Familiarity with Minitab, Tableau and SQL databases a plus
