Position open in Skokie, IL office for a Principal Structural Engineer. The Principal Structural Engineer will act as a lead Project Manager and will conduct investigations, evaluations, analysis and remediation of structural and architectural building systems including: concrete structural frames; brick; stone; terra cotta and concrete masonry building façades; EIFS and stucco systems. Will develop and foster client relationships, provide strong technical support on projects, develop the scope of the project, prepare proposals and finalize reports as required.

Required Skills
Requires a background in structural behavior, strong analytical capabilities and an M.S. in Civil Engineering or PhD in Civil Engineering. Prefer 15 years of experience in related work. Candidate should be licensed as a P.E. or S.E. Candidate must be well organized and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and general structural analysis software and some AutoCAD experience are preferred. Up to 30% travel. May require working from heights on scaffolds and swing stages. |
