Griffin Pipe Products Co. Inc., Lynchburg, VA, one of the Amsted Industries, is seeking a Process Control Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-energy candidate to provide technical and engineering support to the operating departments to ensure that established qualitative and quantitative standards are consistently met. This position is responsible for special projects and studies to improve manufacturing processes and product quality, to reduce manufacturing costs, and to make optimum use of material and manpower resources.
The ideal candidate will possess the following: Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related Engineering area; extensive knowledge of foundry equipment, production techniques, materials, and resulting castings; at least five years’ engineering and/or operational experience in a heavy industrial environment with ferrous foundry operation; supervisory experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and ability to interpret technical data.
