Greatbatch is a leading developer and manufacturer of deep drawn metal enclosures for implantable medical devices and other demanding applications. We have an exciting opportunity in Minneapolis, MN for a Process Development Engineer.
This position is responsible for:
Leading process development and validation for heat treating and annealing furnaces of stainless steel and titanium.
Increasing material and processing technology, knowledge and expertise of medical components.
Develop manufacturing process work instructions, trouble shooting on solving furnace operation issues and develop maintenance schedules.
Establishing process capability in order to facilitate production transfer.
Generating objective evidence of production readiness through process validation.
Trouble shooting equipment and material issues.
Creating project plans to gain understanding of materials, manpower and equipment for manufacturing.
Evaluating components against annealing and heat treating specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s of Science or Engineering.
Minimum Experience: 7-10 plus years directly related experience.
Specialized Skills : Experience with Vacuum Furnace technology
Specialized Knowledge: Metallurgy/Material Science knowledge preferred. Strong oral and written communication. |
