Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for set up, control and maintenance of production Laser Diode assembly processes. Knowledge of epoxy bonding, optics, laser beam characteristics and characterization techniques for equipment used to collimate high power diode laser arrays is required. Set up and maintenance of manual, semi automated and automated laser diode array beam collimation processes according to process specifications. Set up, control, documentation, maintenance and optimization of production equipment in cooperation with development, using Statistical Process Control (SPC). Set up, control, documentation, maintenance and optimization of production process data handling. Trouble shooting of related equipment in cooperation with maintenance technicians. Assurance of high product performance, output and quality. Participate in process development and improvement. Support incoming goods inspection for process related parts. Training, guidance and technical supervision of production technicians. Maintain close communication and teamwork with supervisor and MRP controller.
Qualifications
Must have at least 3 years industrial experience as a production process engineer. A good background of laser diodes, optics and Six Sigma will be an advantage. Semiconductor background is required. Design for manufacturing proficiency is a must. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Science or Mechanical Design Engineering
