We are currently seeking a Process Engineer I for either our Reading or Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office locations.

•Extracts process engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepares process flow diagrams, material and heat balances, and lists of major equipment. Designs P&ID's, prepares and issues instrument, equipment, heat exchange and rotating equipment data sheets. Prepares and issues line summaries. Establish utility requirements, prepares utility summaries and designs utility P&ID's.

•Conducts process and equipment optimization and process evaluation studies. Assists in emission and pollution control studies. Assists in conducting safety and hazard assessments for process systems. Checks and files process calculations according to the project instructions. With supervision can select computer software, complete process simulation models for more complex systems. Retain and keeps files for future reference.

•Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and material.

•MUST HAVE ASPEN EXPERIENCE - MANDATED.

•Provides assistance to design groups as required in the preparation of equipment specifications, vessel specifications, instrumentation criteria, and project manuals. Assists in the preparation of operating and training manuals

•Provides input and technical guidance to CAD designers and drafters and to lower level process engineers. May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.

•Participates in customer and internal review meetings. Participates in the Parsons E&C
Quality Improvement Program.

Job Requirements

•Significant experience with ASPEN modeling required. Power experience preferred.

•BS or MS in related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law. Basic knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures. Generally 2-4 years of experience in field with BS, or 0-2 years of experience in field with MS; EIT or relevant professional registration preferred.

•Intermediate level position which is able to take the basic skills learned previously and apply them with increasing independence - able to do the tasks with increasing initiative. Individuals must be able to perform less routine work, and understand the components of project execution related to the work being performed. Solves varied, but straight-forward problems, analyzing and selecting solutions from learned range alternatives. Typically assigned specific responsibilities within projects, programs, or processes.

•Computer proficiency required; Proficient with engineering software applications; Solid analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities are important. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are important.

•Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to maintain confidential information is critical.

•Generally characterized as a ""Task Completer"", with limited ability to initiate and/or recommend optional theories or problem solutions with ability to independently establish work tasks in order to successfully meet expectations.

•Typically will interface with departmental staff and lower and middle management, and sometimes outside customers.
