Job Description
Overview of Position:
Maximize operational performance from an EHS&S, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, Cost and Customer Service perspective to achieving Urethanes Business objectives at Perth Amboy. Drive manufacturing excellence initiatives. Support a Zero Incident culture and Plant Process Engineering initiatives, in a Team environment. Continuously improve quality through leadership/support of variation reduction initiatives. Serve in a Leadership capacity on the Perth Amboy Core Safety Team, providing Process Safety Management expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure daily production requirements are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure processes operate at optimum level in regards to quality and output.
General supervision; training and development of subordinates.
Analyze, modify and upgrade existing processes and procedures.
Assess safety and potential environmental impact of operating units.
Continually improve safety, efficiency and output of operating units.
Observe, measure, collect, and analyze process data.
Reduce variation of Key Performance Indicators to improve product performance.
Job Requirements :
Required Skills or Abilities:
Supervisory experience in a diverse manufacturing / union environment
Excellent Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Working Knowledge of and Commitment to EHS&S Standards and Policies
Working Knowledge of Chemical Plant Processes, Equipment, Instrumentation and Controls
Strong time management, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
Background in Supply Chain Management; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP;
Working knowledge of OSHA-PSM; MOC; ISO; LEAN; HPWT’s
Use of statistical analysis tools such as Minitab a plus.
Education: Bachelors Degree Chemical Engineering
Experience: 4-7 Years Specialty Chemical/Bulk Manufacturing Environment
