Main Responsibilities:
To lead maintenance personnel and provide engineering support to ensure the goals/objectives of the plant and customer are met.
? Maintain and improve manufacturing process
? Assist and approve tooling and fixtures designs
? Communicate improvements to the Quality and Manufacturing departments
? Provide operator training, work instructions, and process control plans for implemented projects and improvements
? Support shop floor problem solving activities
? Promote continuous improvement
? Initiate, plan, design, and implement improvements to current processes to ensure productivity, quality and safety
? Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and error proofing systems
? Verify Pm's are completed, add and modify Pm's as needed to maintain production needs
? Plan and manage daily, weekly, and yearly equipment repair
? Budget, track, and control monthly overtime for department
? Control and maintain shop floor software and hardware as related to maintenance
? Assist the Product Engineering Group in processing, costing, implementing, launching, and maintaining engineering changes
? Assist performing Run @ Rates for customer engineering changes
? Facilitate Maintenance group
? Forecast and control budget requirements for the maintenance department
? Responsible for critical spare parts, order track and store stock parts required to maintain production needs
? Other tasks as required by the Engineering/Maintenance Coordinator (Manager)
? To always proceed in the best interest of the company
Safety:
? Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so.

? Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant
? Be pro actively involved with improving working conditions
Quality:
? Assist the Quality department with resolving process related quality defects relating to production
? Assist in maintaining the TS 16949 system
? Assist quality in answering corrective actions
? Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
? Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
? 100% on-time delivery to customer
? 0 PPM on parts
? Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
Housekeeping:
? Maintain the appearance of a World Class Facility
? Actively support full implementation of the 5S's, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat and properly maintained.
Continuous Improvement / Training:
? Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices
Education and Expertise:
? 4 year Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or combination of education and related experience
? Proficient in equipment trouble shooting
? Proficient with CadKey light or Autocad
? Proficient with Micro-Soft software
? Understanding of APQP process
? Willing and able to travel per Company policy
? Ability to read and understand electrical prints
? Interpret Blueprints, material specifications, and other customer requirements
? Proficient with programming logic controllers such as Allen Bradley
