We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineeer in our Clopay Plastic Products Company in Augusta, KY.


Summary: Selects and applies engineering techniques and procedures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs in order to optimize production.



Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
?Supports product and technological advancements as a key resource for the entire organization.
?Process Reliability
?Coordinates and facilitates the trial activity for the plant.
?Develop and maintain processes to support Clopay, QAKE, and ISO standards.
?Insures that SOCs are maintained and are up to date
?Works closely with customers to define product requirements and translates them into controllable process parameters.
?Uses SPC and other statistical methods to determine company?s process capabilities to consistently run to target and meet the customer?s product requirements. Control chart analysis to reduce key property variation through assignable cause identification and corrective action.
?Defines and reports opportunities for process and equipment reliability improvement.
?Works closely with the Production Manager, Plant Engineer, Plant Manager, and production teams to recommend and justify needed equipment upgrades or modifications.
?Defines and reports opportunities for product reliability.
?Creates / Delivers training when needed.



Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
?A bachelor?s degree in engineering, chemistry or a related technical field is desired. Demonstrated capability, experience, and education may substitute for the degree.
?Three years of manufacturing experience is desired.
?Prior experience in a Process Engineering role is preferred
?A working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
?Experience leading problem solving and or continuous improvement teams is preferred.
?Must also be familiar with office equipment to include computers, copiers, and fax machines.
